                              up in an anti-vaccine household. He spoke at a U.S. Senate hearing on vaccines and

CDC: Childbirth much riskier for Black mothers
Feburary 21, 2018 — It's an alarming statistic: Black women in American are 3 to 4 times more likely
                                 to die in childbirth than white women. Anika Williams, a labor and delivery nurse
                                 at Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital, takes care of hundreds of women and their babies
                                 each year. But the mother of 6, pregnant with her seventh child, had no idea she might
                                 be at-risk of complications herself.

After buying his insulin off Craigslist, Georgia college student finds help
December 8, 2017 — When Georgia State University freshman Khris Rowe found Morehouse School of Medicine's
                              H.E.A.L. clinic off Howell Mill Road in Atlanta, the 20-year old was struggling. He's
                              a type 1 diabetic. Doctors at the clinic gave Rowe free insulin samples to get him
                              through the short-term. Then, to find a longer-term fix, Morehouse School of Medicine
                              clinical pharmacist Dr. Christopher Holoway helped the Rowes pull together the paperwork
                              Khris needed to qualify for the insulin manufacturer's patient assistance program.

                              surviving. Yet, strokes can be hard to diagnose and it's impossible to predict how
                              a patient will respond to treatment. 
US heart disease death rates declining, but more slowly in South
March 22, 2016 — Mortality rates from heart disease in the United States declined from 1973 to 2010,
                              but the rate of decline was lowest in the South, according to data published in Circulation. At
                              the beginning of the study period, the counties with the highest death rates from
                              heart disease were concentrated in the Northeast, but at the end, they were concentrated
                              in the South.

                              75. Her lifetime chance of dying from ovarian cancer is about 1 in 100. Host Dr. Renee
                              Allen is joined by Dr. Evelyn Reynolds to discuss critical updates in ovarian cancer,
                              specifically dispelling the myth about ovarian cancer being a "silent killer." Dr.
                              Reynolds an Associate Professor and Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology at the
